Sri. Santhosh kumar formed this Martial Arts Academy on 1st Jan 1980. In 1982 he registered his club under Travancore Society Act of Kerala and slowly expanded his classes to 10 centers in Trichur Dist. Also classes were started in Pollachi, Panruti and Erode in Tamil Nadu and also at Jogeswary and Andheri in Mumbai. He has been practicing the full contact method in Karate. His students have participated in several All India Tournaments – mainly the Pune Tournament in 1986, the Madurai Tournaments in 1987 and ’89. All of them brought his students Championships. These have resulted in giving all vast experiences and he was able to organize the All India All Style Open Martial Arts Tournaments in the year 1990. 300  participants took part in the tournament from all over India. In 1992, ’94, ’95, ’96, ’97 and 2002, the black Dragon Martial Arts Academy organized All India Tournaments in full contact system. The Madhurai Commando Police and Punjab Police were the main Teams which participated in the above tournaments.
